Qui dit Argentine, dit football, but avec la main...Et bah il ne faut pas oublier le surfing et nous avons la chance d'en parler avec Marcos, photographe reconnu en Argentine!
Where do you come from ?
Im from south of Argentina
Could you describe you in few lines?
I enjoy everything in this world
Where do you live? Is it cool ?And Why it is cool?
This year im living at my hometown again ( i ve been 4 years in Buenos Aires city), its REALLY cool. We are in the middle of Patagonia, at sea side but also next to the Andes, so..you can enjoy the sea, the waves and mountains and snow .. all in one day if you want it. Isnt it cool?
Yes it is!
Could you tell me when and how did you get the urge to make pics? I find yours pics really beautiful.
Thanks first. I think the amazing and beautiful places in this world wanted me to make pics at the first time, and i did it using my sister´s reflex camera.
Your influences in this area?
Happens to you there to exchange ideas with other photographers? And if so, which ones?
I like many photographer´s styles and work. For example Ansel Adams i like the angles. I think Morgan Maassen is a master with textures. Zak Noyle with colours, and Steve McCurry and Chris Burkard have the hability of being in the right place at the right moment.
You started directly from the photo action / sport?
No, i ve started with the Patagonic landscapes, after that i went directly to water sports.
What inspires you most?
The sea, but its just a feeling when im close, i don't need to look, glaze at or contemplate.
Is there a cliché especially important in your eyes, an image that symbolizes more than it is? Or all your photos they all convey a story in their own way?
Both things at same time, i can say that each pic has a particular history.. but my style goes in a similar line. I always try to freeze special moments, the moments that make you feel electric inside your body and in your skin.
This job requires a lot of implications, dedication and sometimes sacrifices, what advice would you give to someone who wants to follow in your footsteps?
The first and most important is to know that making this means that you love it, you are not gonna make a lot of money, but you are gonna be rich.
One or more anecdote (s) on the joys and dangers of life as a photographer of surf?
Isn't easy to answer, cause i always say "no pain, no gain" .. and that pain could be traduced on adrenaline when a 5 meters wave is coming to you.
Do you have a website where we ca see your pics ?
