Interview David Parkes , Kneeboard rider from Byron Bay!

 Byron Bay  est la ville la plus à l'est du "continent" australien. Elle est située au nord-est de la Nouvelle-Galles du Sud, à 800 km au nord de Sydney et à 200 km au sud de Brisbane.Le cap Byron possède un phare depuis 1901. Ce phare est le plus puissant d'Australie (2,2 millions de candelas ; il est visible à 27 milles nautiques)

La ville est un lieu touristique important avec ses longues plages qui attirent de nombreux surfeurs dont des kneeboarders comme David Parkes!

 

Could you describe you in few line?

I am 53 yearold surfer who lives in Byron bay and surfs a kneeboard.

 

When did you started kneeboard and why?

I started kneeboarding in about 1973/4 because we could surf uncrowded waves.

Where do you live?! is it a good place?

Byron Bay is a great place to live for a surfer .

 

Island Slalom Tour is a series of skateboarding contests on tiny french islands where nobody has ever skated! We are as Captain cook at Hawaii in 1600! Except we have now motor boats and concrete roads... What do you think about this?

Island Slalom Tour sounds like an original exiciting concept.

In which town in the world would you dream to go riding with yout kneeboard?

That left in Nambibia looks interesting.

Who is the best rider in the world for you?

Hard to say who is the "best".
