Zak Noyle est un photographe de surf qui fait des prises de vue en aqua à se taper la tête contre un arbre tellement,elles sont classes! Il a pris le temps de répondre à une interview pour le blog de l island slalom tour!

Where do you come from ?

I am from Honolulu, Hawaii

Could you describe you in few lines?

Born and raised on Oahu, have loved the water from an early age. Swam and played waterpolo through out school. I love warm water and big barrels.

 

Where do you live? Is it cool ?And Why it is cool?

I live on the North Shore, and it is "cool" because we have the best waves in the world.

Your influences in this area? Happens to you there to exchange ideas with other photographers? And if so, which ones?

My father is the biggest influence. He is a commercial photographer and has taught me so much about photography as well as life.

You started directly from the photo action / sport?

Yes my love for the ocean brought me into this field of photography.

What inspires you most?

The natural beauty of the ocean and Hawaii as well as the world, capturing this and showing it to others to love and enjoy is what inspires me to create.

Is there a cliché especially important in your eyes, an image that symbolizes more than it is? Or all your photos they all convey a story in their own way?

I try to show the viewer a sense of being to bring them to the place of the photo taken, to tell a story within one image.

This job requires a lot of implications, dedication and sometimes sacrifices, what advice would you give to someone who wants to follow in your footsteps?

Swim well and swim often, train to stay in shape. When the waves are good and it is sunny, know that you will not be surfing but rather shooting photos, this is fine with me because I love photography.

One or more anecdote (s) on the joys and dangers of life as a photographer of surf?

Just watch out for the reef. Love what you do and you will never work a day in your life.
