Mission

LEOSA utilizes a "Prevention not Reaction" approach to drug abuse by using education to stop a problem before it starts.

Description

The Law Enforcement Officer Surfing Association (LEOSA) is a non-profit organization built on it's love for surfing and educating teens on the dangers of drug abuse.

What LEOSA is all about:

LEOSA teaches a free indepth drug awareness class to school students 13 yoa - 18 yoa. This program has been taught in public schools, private schools, boy scout troops, church youth groups, and various other civic groups. The course is taught by certified law enforcement officers who are certified instructors by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

LEOSA offers LEAP (law enforcement assistance program) to law enforcement families who are experiencing hardships due to illness or tragedy. 10% of all profits raised at LEOSA functions is put into the LEAP fund.

LEOSA offers two police academy scholarships a year to assist in the education process for future law enforcement officers.

LEOSA believes that a healthy activity such as surfing is a great way to keep teens on track so we have monthly surf days where we meet with with teens for a fun day of surfing and fellowship.
