Julie est une jolie surfeurse belge que j'ai la joie de vous présenter sur le blog! Le surf en Belgique n'est pas une légende!
When and where did you arrive ON earth?
I was born 2 april 1995 at Ostend, Belgium.
When did you started surfing and why?
I started surfing in the summer of 2008 because off my brother. he also surfs and he convinced me too surf too. He helped me to catch my first waves. I have a lot to thank him!
You live in Belgium! I know because I was student at lille! Concequently I went surf in Belgium! It was fun!Where do you live and is it a good place to make surfing?
I live in De Haan. It's a small village on the coast of Belgium. Where i live, the waves are mostly close-out but I like to surf where i live because there is no one else in the water. When you drive 10 min, the waves are a better, but it gets so crowded!
Which is your favorite spot and why?
I really like the spots in the south off France! the waves are really good over there. and my home spot.
Could you surf often in Belgium?
No. sometimes yes but most off the time, we don't have waves. But I think when there are waves in Belgium, it's super fun! A lot off my most fun sessions are in Belgium because a good day off surf here is rare.
What is your biggest Wipe Out?
I don't think that i have had a really big wipe out yet...
There are a lot of girls that practise surfing in belgium?
More and more girls start surfing in belgium and i think it great! but the majority in the water are boys
What is your best anecdote when travelling ?
When we went to France, the driver decided to drive backwards on the highway because she missed her exit to the gass-station.
One morning, you wake up ,You arrive in your kitchen and suddenly, you see a genius in wetsuit! He say:” Hey Man, I can offer you 2 magic gifts! What do you want?
euhh 2 magic gifts... I think i would ask for world peace (or a unicorn). and good waves in Belgium.
Do you often ride skateboards?
I skate (longboard) every day i think. I really like it. It's great to skate with friends.
Island Slalom Tour is a series of skateboarding contests on tiny french islands where nobody has ever skated! We are as Captain cook at Hawaii in 1600! Except we have now motor boats and concrete roads... What do you think about this?
Wow! sounds super fun and crazy! i really like the concept!
Do you like patatas fritas?
I love it! especially when my mum made them!
A last Word!
I want to thank my parents for driving me around everywhere. and i also want to thank my brother and sponser O'Neill for the great support!
