Could you describe you in few line?

Girl 'Shredder', mostly surfing and skateboarding. 9 years old, living in Encinitas, CA. I love my little sister Summer! I mostly skate transition - bowls, ramps, pools and flow-park. I compete in the World Cup Skateboarding Tour and the Western Surfing Association Tour. I am currently ranked 3rd in the world for Ladies' Bowl, Amateur, Under age 15.

When did you started Skateboarding and why?

I started skating with my father when I was 4 years old. We had some quarterpipes in the driveway and then built a mini-ramp and then eventually a little wooden bowl in the backyard, known as the Iguana Bowl. Skateboarding was fun and allowed me to surf on land, as we were also trying surfing on the beach.

Where do you live ! is it a good place?

Encinitas is an epicenter for transition and vert skateboarding here in California and even the USA. A lot of old school legends and new talent live here. Also there is good surfing all up and down the coastline too! We have many skateparks and they are building new ones.

What is your favourite rider?

Mike McGill is my favorite legend and I ride for his skateshop and go to school with his daughter and he helps me a lot, and gives me tips when we skate. My favorite girl skaters are Julz Lynn and Sarah Thompson. My favorite lady legends are Cara-Beth Burnside and Patti McGee.

What is your best result in contest?

My best result is 3rd place AM bowl in the Exposure 2013 contest and being ranked 3rd in the world, Ladies AM Bowl by World Cup Skateboarding. Also I placed 4th in the WCS Girls' Combi Pool Classic contest at VANS for AMs in 2013.

What is the craziest meal that you eat during a surf trip?

Usually you can find bean and cheese burritos or in a tortilla no matter where you travel in the world, especially surf locations! Not to crazy, but I like them and they are good nutrition and avail all over the world!

Do you often ride skateboards?

I skate nearly everyday, or at least 5 days per week. Skating is easy to do anywhere, especially when the waves are flat or blown out and I like to stay sharp on my board. I also cross-train for fitness with biking, running, surfing, volleyball and trampoline!

Island Slalom Tour is a series of skateboarding contests on tiny french islands where nobody has ever skated! We are as Captain cook at Hawaii in 1600! Except we have now motor boats and concrete roads...

What do you think about this?

As I get older I plan to travel more and more for skateboarding contests, especially when I turn pro. In 2014 I plan to compete for the first time out of the USA and travel to Bondi, Australia! I will probably turn pro skateboarding long before turning pro surfing. Traveling for contests will give my family and I good reason to travel more and experience new people, places and culture. The more remote the better, but more logistically challenging! Thank you for producing a contest series!

What is your biggest Wipe Out?

Biggest wipeout skating was trying a 50-50 grind in the deepend of a jenky 9 foot pool and sliding out and sliding on my face all the way down to the flat bottom! Surfing, I was out during an 8 foot day with my father once and got caught inside on a set. My father paddled over to me, but I was scared!

One morning, you wake up ,You arrive in your kitchen and suddenly, you see a genius in wetsuit! He say:” Hey Marcos , I can offer you 2 magic gifts! What do you want?

A good session, is a double session, with good food in between! Surfing glassy morning surf for 2 hours, take a break and get good grub and then find a good bowl or pool somewhere, hopefully in somebody's backyard, and skate with good friends! Then teach my baby sister to skate too!

A last Word!

My wishes are to win a WSA surfing contest and to have a concrete pool in the backyard that is filled with water to swim in during the summer and we drain it to skate in the winter!
